Well, in 2022, I got to experience some of the best that the world has to offer, and let me tell you, the Airbnb villas I stayed in were nothing short of amazing.

We all know that celebrations are a big deal to Nigerians.
I mean, have you seen @bellanaijaweddings Instagram page!?
One reason is that celebrations serve as a way to bring our people together and strengthen community bonds.
So as a fellow Yoruba babe, with my birthday only a few weeks away, I knew I wanted to celebrate in style. That's why I decided to rent a villa in the Hollywood Hills and invited nine of my closest friends to celebrate with me.
The Airbnb was absolutely stunning, jaw dropping.
The moment we arrived at the villa, we were in awe of the sleek and modern design. The open floor plan allowed us to easily flow from room to room, while the floor-to-ceiling windows offered panoramic views of the city. The outdoor space was equally impressive, with a pool, hot tub, and BBQ area.
We spent our days lounging by the pool and evenings gathered around the fireplace. It was the perfect setting for a laid-back yet luxurious birthday celebration. My only constructive feedback were the 1000 rules the host listed out for us to follow β we get it, the house is precious and we treated it as such πΌπΎ.

As I prepared to spend a few days in Venice (not the one in California, but Italy) for creative work, I set out to find the perfect Airbnb rental.
I wanted something cozy and quiet, with a good setup for my work-from-home station and reliable WiFi. When I saw this property had a 5-star rating, I knew I had to book it, hoping it didnβt turn into a case of βwhat I asked for vs What I got.β
Upon arrival, I was blown away by what I found. The small courtyard led me to the building, where I took the elevator up to my room. It was like something out of a movie! The furniture was pristine, and the location was unbeatable. I felt like I was getting a deal for what the place was worth. The only downside was that it was a little hard to find, but with the host's detailed directions (giving MapQuest πΊ), I eventually made my way there.
All in all, I was thrilled with my stay at this Airbnb. It was a hidden gem and I can't wait to book another visit in the future. If you're in the area and looking for a cozy, quiet, and well-located place to stay, this is definitely the spot for you.

When one of your gworls texts you saying "Bali for my birthday?!" you don't even think twice. You book those roundtrip tickets faster than The Flashβ‘οΈ and get ready for the trip of a lifetime.
If you've been following my TikTok, you've probably already seen the epic villa we stayed in during our Bali birthday bash. Nestled in a tranquil neighborhood surrounded by lush greenery and rice fields, this place was like our own little slice of paradise. It gave Bali in Tulum (as one of my TikTok followers described it).
The villa itself was straight out of a tropical dream, with floor-to-ceiling windows (clearly a favorite of mine) and comfortable furnishings that made it the perfect spot to hang with the gworls.
But the icing on the cake was the outdoor space. A pool and plenty of lounge chairs set the stage for some seriously sun-soaked fun, and we couldn't get enough. All in all, this Bali birthday trip was one for the books, and I can't wait to do it all over again.

π₯ The Architect's Villa | Costa Rica
Just two weeks before Thanksgiving, my sister and I decided to jet off to Costa Rica with our close friend for a much-needed OOO escape. We scoured Airbnb for the perfect spot to stay and it didn't take long to find this treehouse in the woods.
I know what youβe thinking. Alone in woods!?
Get somebody else to do it π.
But ever since I was young babe, I've dreamed of living in a treehouse. My sister and I even tried building one when we were in the 5th grade. Now, that Iβm grownish, I finally have the chance to make that childhood dream a reality for 12 year old Taiwo.
So I booked it without hesitation. The Superhost status, 4.9-star rating, and over 20 glowing reviews all contributed to my decision. Plus, the host was super helpful in getting us ready for our trip and even gave us recommendations for things to do in the area.
Overall, I had a great time at this treehouse.
The floor-to-ceiling windows were the star of the show, letting in tons of light (perfect for my content creation). But there were a few cobwebs in the corners that I could have done without. I gave some feedback to the host about that, so hopefully you won't run into the same issue when you book your stay.
All in all, I highly recommend this treehouse for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful getaway in 2023.
