I didn’t go to the Grammys
A month ago, I dropped my album: Taiwoade.com.
Every track is so special to me, and my hope is that it reaches whoever needs it, wherever you are in this season.
I didn’t win a Grammy, but I’d still like to take this time to celebrate this win.
Like Kanye said in his 2005 Grammy acceptance speech, “appreciate every moment.” We don’t have to wait until something becomes a memory, or we receive accolades to appreciate it.
So, first and foremost I must thank Jesus, the author & finisher of my faith — for reminding me that my gifts will make room for me (Proverbs 18:16). Inspiring me day after day to put my ideas out for the world to see, helping me go from ideation to execution.
My readers, thank you for reading and sharing my thoughts. But also, the thoughtful notes you send me. You encourage me to be a better writer and storyteller.
The people who set up weekly calls to discuss working in the tech industry, or creative creation. You all remind me of the importance of taking risks and being bold in every space I am in.
I plan to celebrate and scream and pop champagne every chance I get.
